Pleats & Stitches was founded by sisters Colleen McLeod and Kristen Rutledge with a love for classic children’s clothing and the belief that beautiful, special pieces should still feel approachable for real families.

As mothers of five girls, we’ve always been drawn to traditional smocking, heirloom details, beautiful fabrics, and coordinating pieces made for birthdays, holidays, family photographs, church, celebrations, and everyday memories.
What began as a search for special dresses for our own girls grew into Pleats & Stitches — a collection of timeless children’s clothing designed to be worn, loved, and passed along.
